Essential technical skills:

· Extensive use of Cursor (Agent mode, project rules, AFA skills) and Claude Code or comparable agentic CLI for implementation and refactors.

· Strong Python for APIs, services, workers, and Azure Functions as the squad default; polyglot full-stack delivery—for example TypeScript or JavaScript for web UIs or BFFs, or maintainable contributions in Go or .NET when the architecture or integration requires it.

· Azure (primary): App Service or Functions, Storage, messaging, Key Vault, Microsoft Entra ID concepts.

· AWS (secondary): literacy sufficient to implement scoped features with architectural guidance.

· REST and asynchronous integration patterns (queues, webhooks, retries); foundational application security.

· Comfort producing diagram-as-code and ADRs alongside code under AFA guidance.

Agile mindset and soft skills:

· Deliver incrementally and contract-first; seek peer review and constructive feedback.

· Collaborate openly with the Technical Architect, Cloud Architect, QA engineers, and DevOps.

· Own end-to-end slices while respecting platform and security boundaries.

· Communicate trade-offs through backlog refinement, demos, ADRs, and pull-request discussion—not slide decks alone.

Desirable additional skills:

· Rich TypeScript/React (or similar) experience when initiatives lean on a Python backend with a modern SPA or micro-frontend.

· Customer-hosted or multi-tenant SaaS; Microsoft Graph or Microsoft Teams integrations.

· Docker; application workloads on AKS or EKS.

· Event-driven patterns; BFF or lightweight CQRS-style read models.

· Pull requests that improve AFA rule text or skills based on real delivery friction.
